This biobased roof edge profile has been developed as a sustainable alternative to traditional aluminium roof edge profiles and is specifically designed for extensive sedum roofs. The profile provides a clean and functional finish to the roof edge and prevents the substrate from washing away. As such, it forms an essential part of a stable, low-maintenance and future-proof green roof system.

The roof edge profile is manufactured from biobased HDPE with a biobased content of 98%. By using renewable raw materials, the profile not only delivers excellent technical performance but also a demonstrably positive environmental impact. With a CO₂ emission of –1.97 kg CO₂-eq per kilogram of material, the product actively contributes to reducing the environmental footprint of green roofs.

No compromises in functionality or appearance

Thanks to the material’s dimensional stability and impact resistance, the profile is highly resistant to weather conditions and temperature fluctuations. This results in a long technical service life of approximately 50 years, without compromising functionality or appearance.

The roof edge profile is fully recyclable and forms part of a circular material flow.

The profile is suitable for application on roofs without a parapet and can be used as a separation between vegetation, substrate and vegetation-free zones. This ensures a clean and durable edge finish for the green roof while maintaining long-term structural stability.

I’M GREEN Certified

The biobased roof edge profile is delivered completely without packaging. This avoids unnecessary packaging materials and further reduces the environmental impact within the logistics chain.

Because the product is supplied without individual packaging, the I’M Green certification mark is not visibly applied to the product or packaging. However, the certification is fully valid: the biobased HDPE used complies with the I’M Green criteria and is produced from renewable raw materials.

This approach emphasizes a focus on genuine sustainability rather than visible labeling.
