New Circle develops certified biobased roofing products that can be included straight away in specifications and tenders, to encourage biobased construction. The Biobased Roof Edge Profile, the Biobased Separation Profile and the Biobased Connector are all made from 100% biobased HDPE. Production may contain some residual material, which is why we guarantee a minimum of 98% biobased HDPE. The products are fully recyclable and have a measured carbon footprint of -1.97 kg CO₂-eq per kilogram of material. This means that, on balance, every product installed stores more CO₂ than is released during its production. Alongside these three products, New Circle is working on a demountable biobased adhesive that enables roofing materials such as EPDM, bitumen and PVC to be reused. In this way, New Circle helps construction professionals not only with their choice of materials, but also with making the case to clients and funding bodies.
Yes, New Circle’s products are ready for specification and tendering. New Circle’s biobased roof edge profiles, separation profiles and connectors are fully documented and can be included straight away in specifications and tenders. They are certified with the I’m Green Bio-Based label and meet all relevant technical building requirements. New Circle supplies complete specification texts and product documentation, including environmental performance data and installation instructions.
