Our biobased corner profiles are part of our biobased roof edge system, which has been developed as a sustainable alternative to traditional aluminium roof edge systems. It is specifically suited to extensive sedum roofs. The corners, available in two internal corner and two external corner variants, provide a clean, functional connection at the roof edge.
Using the roof edge system prevents substrate from washing out. This makes it an essential component of a stable, low-maintenance and future-proof green roof build-up.
The corner profile is made from biobased HDPE with a biobased content of 98%. Thanks to the use of renewable raw materials, the profile not only delivers excellent technical performance but also has a demonstrably positive environmental impact. With a carbon footprint of –1.97 kg CO₂-eq per kilogram of material, the product actively helps to reduce the environmental impact of green roofs.
No compromise on functionality or appearance
Thanks to the dimensionally stable, impact-resistant properties of the material, the corner profile withstands weathering and temperature fluctuations. This results in a long technical service life of approximately 50 years, without compromising on functionality or appearance. The corner profile is fully recyclable and forms part of a circular material flow.
The profile is suitable for roofs without an upstand and can be used as a separation between vegetation, substrate and vegetation-free zones. In this way, it contributes to a neat, durable edge finish for the green roof and keeps the roof build-up stable in the long term.

Quick and easy installation
Delivery and installation are quick and easy. The corner profiles are supplied per piece and can be connected to the roof edge profile to create a neatly finished, continuous roof edge. Mechanical fixing is not required. This reduces installation time and leaves the roof construction intact.

When it comes to biobased raw materials, New Circle prefers residual streams from agriculture and horticulture, such as molasses, a by-product of sugar production. New Circle also uses raw materials from renewable sources, such as tree resin. This keeps the chain as short and circular as possible: raw materials that would otherwise be regarded as residual streams are given a high-value second purpose with us.
A circular roof edge profile is a roof edge solution that is fully reusable and designed for multiple life cycles. New Circle develops biobased roof edge profiles and separation profiles from 100% biobased HDPE, made from renewable raw materials. (Production may contain some residual material, which is why we guarantee a minimum of 98% biobased HDPE.) The profiles are dimensionally stable, impact-resistant, UV-resistant and resistant to the weather and temperature fluctuations. New Circle’s biobased products are fully recyclable. Thanks to demountable fixing techniques and the biobased adhesive currently in development, the materials can easily be collected and reprocessed after dismantling.
