New Circle is in the KVK Innovatie Top 100! Will you vote too?

The expert jury has selected our Biobased Roof Edge Profile for the KVK Innovatie Top 100, the innovation ranking of the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce, in the Circular Economy category.

One hundred companies from across the Netherlands, and we are among them with a two-metre profile that finishes the edge of a green roof.

It is a component that hardly anyone ever looks at, even though it sits on almost every green roof in the Netherlands. Until now it was made of aluminium or petroleum-based plastic, because nothing else existed. We made a version from biobased HDPE with a biobased content of 98 percent: fully recyclable, with a technical service life of around fifty years and a CO2 footprint of -1.97 kg CO2-eq per kilogram of material.

For architects and clients who use biobased as a requirement or award criterion, that is the difference between meeting the specifications or not.

The public can vote until 19 October. Those votes count for 20 percent of the final result, the expert jury for the remaining 80 percent.
