This biobased connector has been developed for connecting biobased roof edge profiles 60/80, creating a clean and continuous edge finish for green roofs. The connector ensures a stable and precise connection between profiles, without visible interruptions, contributing to a high-quality and durable roof edge solution.
Like the roof edge profile itself, the connector is manufactured from biobased HDPE with a biobased content of 98%. The material is dimensionally stable, durable and resistant to weather conditions and temperature fluctuations. As a result, the connection remains reliable throughout the entire lifespan of the green roof system.
An integral component of a circular roof edge system
The connector has been designed as an integral part of a circular roof edge system. By manufacturing all components from biobased materials, a consistent system is created that contributes to reducing the environmental impact of green roofs.
Despite its low weight, the connector provides a demonstrably positive environmental impact, with a CO₂ emission of –1.97 kg CO₂-eq per kilogram of material and a technical service life of approximately 50 years.
The application is simple and practical. The connector is used to join biobased roof edge profiles 60/80, ensuring a clean and stable connection. Installation is carried out by bonding with a suitable adhesive, and mechanical fixation is not required. This reduces installation time and preserves the integrity of the roof structure.

I’M GREEN Certified
The connector is fully recyclable and complies with the criteria of the I’M Green certification. The product is delivered without packaging, avoiding unnecessary packaging materials and further reducing the environmental impact within the logistics chain.
Because the product is supplied without individual packaging, the I’M Green certification mark is not visibly applied to the product or packaging. However, the certification is fully valid: the biobased HDPE used is demonstrably produced from renewable raw materials.
This choice underlines the focus on actual sustainability rather than visible labeling.
