Introducing: Daan Weverink, the man behind our online channels!
Daan mainly focuses on New Circle’s online visibility. He also takes care of internal content at the Enkhuizen location.
With his young, fresh perspective, he gives our social media a youthful, modern feel while keeping it professionally run. During his career at New Circle, he is keen to learn everything there is to know about circularity and biobased construction.
“The most distorted picture of circular/biobased construction is that it is more expensive and doesn’t last as long. That doesn’t have to be the case at all.”
He says what he enjoys most about working at New Circle is that it can have a big impact nationally, across Europe and even worldwide. “You really contribute to a better, cleaner planet.”
The atmosphere at the office is modern, businesslike and informal. We work with flexible workplaces and at least one day working from home, which is why it’s modern. It’s businesslike because, of course, people work hard, but there is a very pleasant and informal atmosphere on the work floor.
The tip I would give every new employee for their first day at New Circle: read New Circle’s onboarding carefully before you start, which makes your first day a lot easier. Have a chat with your new colleagues. Ask in-depth questions about what they work on and what their average working day looks like. It’s also nice to ask about your colleagues’ hobbies so you get to know them better on a personal level too.
“In my free time I like watching football, going to the gym, working on my own business and spending time with my friends.”
Finally, what people don’t know about me is that I’m scared of spiders and suffer badly from a fear of heights.
